Monday Puppet Crew and Crafts -- Let the Little Children Come to Me

It's wonderful to see our teens immerse themselves in playing with the youngest of the children at the home. It's not as emotional deep as sharing our testimonies or as flash and as public as our skits but the puppet and craft crews served on by our teens is a very important of our mission here. The songs and stories and coloring is all fun with a purpose. We're planting seeds in hearts that or so open and receptive. Maybe its that receptivity that tender soil that Christ wants for us when he asks us to be as little children. And that's the second part of our service. As in every opportunity to serve, it's not just the person served that's blessed. The servant, too, has their own reward. And it's very immediate. It's the laughter and smiles, the eyes eager to find yours, the small voices singing about God's word and how Jesus loves them. It's also the opportunity to see in them the thing that we all share -- we are children, funny, stumbling, not able to put it all quite together, obvious when we know we're doing something wrong, heart broken when we feel we haven't been heard -- we are all children in need of a father, a good, good father. Lord knows.
