Tuesday -- Reflections at the End of the Day

The week is passing by so quickly. Only one more day left serving on our various work crews. Soon the house will be finished, the skit will come to an end, food delivery will be over. At the end of the day, we’re tired. But it’s a good tired filled with good memories. We pause to reflect – not on what we accomplished – but on the people we touched and the smiling faces we’ve left in our wake. To God be the glory….but, thankfully, both He and we get to share in all of the fun.

We close each day sharing stories about our encounters with the children, with the people of Maneadero and with God. God has a face. Many faces. And you’ll see just a few of them in the photos that follow. If you’ve got a moment, pray over each one because each has a story.

There are so many God moments. No more than certainly we enjoy at home. It’s just we’re more attuned to it, looking for it with hopeful expectation and without distraction. Knock and the door will be opened. Seek, and you will find. Lord knows.

We interrupt this cavalcade of happy faces to announce Tuesday's recipient of the Joe Hat -- Maggie Harrison for her hard work and willingness to stay behind the scenes, shooting pictures of her friends and serving others. Way to go, Maggie.

Skid, I mean, Buzz Lightyear makes a surprise stop at Ensenada's own Pizza Planet! And you thought it was just a fictitious pizza place in Toy Story. Who knew? Well, Lord knew and it ones of many God's high fives we witnessed during the week.

Our hero also buzzes by Flamazo's, spreading a little joy to go with few lucky kids' tacos. It's the ultimate happy meal.
And, finally, at the end of the day on Tuesday, Bill Pearcy shares the story of how a child who had been at the City of Children years just happened to drop by and see him today. It was another one of our, and perhaps the best of all, God's high fives we witnessed. Words here won't do the story justice. Only Brother Bill can. If you see him, you might want to ask him about the wonderful reunion he had this week. God is good. All the time. But especially this week.
